Pregnancy weight gain estimator
Babycenter.com
You should gain roughly 25-35 lbs. during your pregnancy. Over the last two trimesters you should gain about 4 lbs. every 4 weeks.
If you gained the average of range above, this is where the weight would go (totals are rounded):
Maternal:
Uterus -2.39 lbs.
Breasts -1.0 lbs.
Blood -3.09 lbs.
Water -4.15 lbs.
Fat -8.27 lbs.
Subtotal
18.89 lbs.
Fetal:
Fetus -7.5 lbs.
Placenta -1.6 lbs.
Amniotic Fluid -1.97 lbs.
Subtotal
11.07 lbs.
Total
29.96 lbs.
I'm eager to see if this number will match what I've gained by the time my due date arrives. I'm on track to gain about 30 at this point so these calculations seem right on the money.

Still eating watermelon & cherries every day.
My stomach is beginning to make me fairly uncomfortable.
I cried on Thursday because I overwatered the garden.
I miss botox & xanax & my size 26 jeans.
my mammaries are gigantic. and i don't mean that in a good way.
i struggle through my nightly runs because my lower back starts aching.
gone are the days that people would remark "wow, you don't look pregnant at all!"
those comments have been replaced by "so when are you due?"
but then she starts kicking...and i remember that my days of having her all to myself are running out. and then she kicks again...and i think about how grateful i am to be carrying her.
God knew exactly which parents to give Caroline to and for some reason, He chose us. What an awesome blessing!
so i guess in light of all that, my daily discomforts are hardly worth complaining about.
we saw the Dark Knight this weekend. it was well worth the wait.
I cooked acre peas for jason & joshua. Nanny would be so proud! they aren't quite as good as hers yet but they're getting there....
Well, that's really all I can think of for now. We miss you and love you all!~

Just having fun...

Hello everyone! I've been a bit quirky lately so excuse my over-the-top exaggeration of today's modern stroller. After opening the box it came in I literally felt like I was assembling an Army Stryker, light armored, tactical assault vehicle.
I'm going to now come down on a more serious level and post it's actual picture; Navy blue for Ole Miss of course!

Middle of July visit...
Hey all! I hope everyone is staying cool. Unbelievably we are in Memphis, that is, it's cool for those of us who live near the core of the sun. Dad came home for a short trip to work the NWTF banquet as his usual summer break back to Memphis. We finally won one of the raffles....amazing. Dad graciously let me pick up a nice storage bin for all the camo I have piled up in the closet upstairs. It's so much more organized now and I think a guest can use a quadrant of it if they need to.
It was great to spend time with Dad. We grilled out on Sunday and enjoyed a great evening outside with great food to boot. Dad also made my last game of the regular season in softball which ended up being the best of the year. We finished 8-2 on the year and start the playoffs next Monday. Wish us luck!
Still working on the nursery but we're closing in. After what took thirty endless days we finally received a print we bought back during the Regan administration which for whatever reason was bumping around in the back of a DHL van until they felt like calling and asking for directions to the house.
I provided a detailed description of the brick work, paint, vehicle make and model in the driveway as well as painted a sign stating "DHL....STOP HERE FOR THE LOVE OF THE LORD." Followed by a battery of signal flares. Amazing how FedEx, UPS, Pizza Hut and everyone else in the world can find us but DHL's excuse, "it's not in the system." And my future business with DHL will follow the same mantra.
With the print finally getting here the nursery will be almost done. We're getting it framed and hanging up some other things on Caroline's walls; pics will be soon to follow I promise.
We miss everyone and hope ya'll are having a great summer.
Our love to you.

Shanna's visit
Well, as some of you may know, my best friend Shanna came into town from Florida last weekend for the Fourth. It was so nice having her here...we laid around, ate snickers bars & watched crappy television all weekend...it was the perfect visit! I posted some pics below that she took...most are self-explanatory except the belly pic...Aunt Shanna thought it would be funny to take a picture of Baby Nickel listening to her Ipod.
I'm still sad that she had to go home. I've even avoided going upstairs to the room where Shanna slept to strip the sheets she slept on....in my emotional state it'll just upset me too much. I think this weekend though I may finally be ready to tackle that!! LOL.
Thanks for coming up, Shanna. You'll always have a room upstairs at Casa de Nickel.
