Christmas 2008

Christmas was a blast! Had some family in town--mom, dad, Brad & his girlfriend Jackie all came in from Ga/Fl and Jason's Aunt Mal came in from AZ. Caroline seems to be a pretty big draw..hehe, who would've thunk it. We had Christmas dinner at Paul & Barbie's, which Jean & Bill Watson joined us for.

Mom & I got some shopping done on the 26th & daddy taught Jason how to use his new smoker..which they smoked ribs on this weekend.

No plans for NYE..& we are looking forward to laying around & doing nothing with our baby girl.
Caroline is getting soooo big...she has been sleeping through the night since she was about 6 weeks old. I can't even wake her up at night to get her to eat...she'll sleep til 10:30 or so if I let her. I guess sleep is her favorite luxury...much like her mom. She's such a happy baby...she smiles & coos constantly & she loves all of her toys.

I'll leave you with a picture of her we took over the holidays.

Happy New Year!~

A Very Merry Time....

So Barbie & Paul kept Caroline last night while Jason & I attended my work christmas party. JL & Lorrie are so generous..they really give us a great Christmas party every year. It was held at the Crescent Club & it was a great excuse to get all dressed up. We missed Caroline so much we were home by 10 though....I just can't hang like I used to!
Thank you, Lorrie & JL for a great time...we love yall so much!!
Love,
Jason & Beth

Caroline's 2-month Update

Caroline had her 2-month check up yesterday with Dr. Ware. Everything looks great...she is in the 75th percentile for weight & height--11.6 lbs & 23". She is a growing girl!! She also got her first rounds of vaccinations, which were much more painful for Jason & I than they were for her.
Here is a picture we took last night...we thought her band-aids were too cute...

The Nickels

A Huge Milestone

Caroline napped in her crib for the first time ever the other day!! Granted, it was only for about 15 minutes or so, but we were pretty proud....

Thanksgiving 2008

So our first Thanksgiving with Caroline went great. I cooked a huge meal--turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoe souffle, purple hull peas, creamed corn, homemade biscuits & hoe cakes. Everything was so yummy & we had a great time with Paul & Barbie. Thanks Nanny, for all the cooking tips...I couldn't have done it without you!~
